Tasting notes: Our beautiful, dry Rosé is regularly rated as one of the top Rosés in Australia, with the 2019 vintage once again included on James Halliday's list of the Best of the Best Rosés in Australia in his 2021 Australian Wine Companion. Now try our refreshing, dry 2020 Rosé! It has a beautiful watermelon juice colour and a succulent nose of red cherries, rich baked apple and gentle spice, that gets you salivating even before you sip. Intense and lively on the palate with a rush of crushed red berries and red apple, it has a gentle textural rub with a super-racy, long juicy finish. Perfectly matched with all seafood and South East Asian cuisine - and is fearless when matched with any chilli-based cuisine.
This is a rosé that will age well for between 5 - 7 years.

Tasting notes: Blaufrankisch is a red grape variety that produces wines of superb quality in its homeland of Austria, where it ranks as the pre-eminent grape in the red wine province of Burgenland. Hahndorf Hill Winery was the first producer of Blaufrankisch in Australia, with our debut vintage being in 2008. The 2018 vintage is hauntingly beautiful with an appealing nose of blue-brambly fruit and spicy black cherries. Extraordinarily smooth and fine on the palate with a gentle tumble of fruit and a light brush of textured tannin. This stylish red wine sings when paired with your favourite spicy dish - but is also perfectly matched to skillet seared lamb, crispy duck or Atlantic salmon.

Tasting notes: This cool-climate Shiraz is full and deep in colour and loaded with enticing aromatics of red fruit, berries, gentle spice, and hints of toffee apple. Palate is rich and beautifully smooth with layers of red fruits, blackcurrants, warm spices and toffee. The tannins are ripe and fine, and perfectly wrap around the juicy acidity, with a long, dry and smooth finish. Match this wine to a rare, pan-seared sirloin, crispy grilled lamb cutlets or a rich beef stew. Age till 2030.

Tasting notes: Compatriots means 'mates' and this plush blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot is in a proud Australian tradition. It has a generous and enticing nose, and the palate is an delicious mix of ripe red fruits, liquorice and cedar, with rich, smooth tannins offset by gentle, juicy acidity. Think roaring fireplaces, lamb shanks and winter comradery. This wine will age well for 15 years.

Tasting notes: Hahndorf Hill is the only producer of Zweigelt in Australia - Austria's favourite red grape variety. In line with trends towards enjoying lighter red wines - especially for luncheons and hot summer days - this wine has a 12.5% alcohol level, but is deep and complex in flavour and aromatics.
Just under half of the hand-harvested grapes were placed as whole bunches in stainless steel, with the remainder of the fruit pumped over on top after being destemmed and crushed. At completion of fermentation the wine was transferred to old French barriques for 9 months prior to bottling.
The perfumed nose is an explosion of cassis and gentle spice, whilst the palate is vibrant with fresh cherries, crushed rosemary and clove spice that's well balanced with a juicy acidity and long, gentle tannin structure.
Perfectly matched to all spicy meat dishes, seafood, pork, chicken, all salads and tomato-based dishes. But mostly lamb's new best friend!
