Reserve Gruner Veltliner 2021 | $55 per bottle

Double Gold Medal - Melbourne International Wine Competition 2022
Gold Medal - Berlin Wine Trophy 2023, Germany

Tasting notes: This is the 6th vintage of our Reserve Gruner Veltliner which takes its inspiration from the Reserve style Gruners in the Kamptal wine region of Austria. Made from selected, hand-harvested riper grapes, this wine is 100% wild-fermented in neutral large foudres and old French barriques. The wine is then matured on the lees, in the barrels, for 11 months prior to bottling. After bottling, the wine is aged for several months in our cool underground cellar. It is not surprising that this Reserve-style of Gruner Veltliner readily emulates the delicious richness and complexity of top Burgundian white wines. Full, voluptuous and complex on the nose, it is brimming with caramelized orange peel, lightly toasted cashew nuts and a hint of crushed tarragon. The palate has great presence, yet retains an exciting vibrancy with rich citrus, glorious texture and charming spice, plus a hint of mushroom-earthy complexity. It has a long tail with deliciously juicy acidity. Serve with roast chicken, duck and grilled pork, or your favourite sea-food including shellfish (lobster, crab, scallops) and excellent with spicy Asian cuisine.

Brother Nature Field Blend 2023 | $39 per bottle

Gold Medal - Global Fine Wine Challenge 2023
Silver Medal - Australian & New Zealand Boutique Wine Show 2023

Tasting notes: This is the second vintage of Brother Nature, which is inspired by the field blends (Gemischter Satz wines) of Vienna. Our wine is an authentic Field Blend, where 12 different white varieties are interplanted within a single vineyard block at Hahndorf Hill. This multicultural block took seven years to develop properly, and our first vintage was released in 2022. The intimacy of these 12 different varieties growing together allows them to influence one another, thereby harmonising the development and ripening trajectory of this multi-cultural block. Ultimately, this true Field Blend process has no focus on a single grape variety, but instead showcases this vineyard's unique terroir, in the bottle.
On a single, pre-determined day, all the co-grown fruit is co-harvested by hand, and then co-fermented in the winery. This blend is therefore truly made within the field, and not in the winery.
The classic Gemischter Satz wines of Austria commonly have between five to twenty different varieties in the field blend, with three different varieties being the bare minimum required.
Brother Nature's 12 different varieties include all of the standard white varieties commonly found in any Gemischter Satz in Austria, such as Pinot Blanc, Welschriesling, Gruner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Traminer (Savagnin) and Muscat Blanc, and also includes some other interesting varieties such as Harslevelu , Chenin Blanc and Muscadelle.
This scintillating, fresh wine, with its glittering core of minerality, features a thrilling, juicy, natural acidity that illuminates its entire length. Crunchy lime zest, baked apple and gentle texture swirl within this racy whirlpool. Pair deliciously with shellfish, crab, pork, spicy Indian cuisine, raw & cured fish, creamy sauces, and South East Asian-style salads.

Trophy + Gold Medal -Winewise Small Vigneron Awards 2022
Grand Gold Medal - Berlin Wine Trophy 2022, Germany

96 Points - Winestate Magazine

Tasting notes: This deliciously delicate late-harvest wine gets its name from the Austrian word 'Gruner' which means 'green'. The grapes for this wine are allowed a very extended period of ripening, during which the berries shrivel and thereby concentrate the flavour, the sugar and the natural acidity. Since the climatic conditions required to achieve this are quite specific, this wine will only be made in exceptional years. The juice is fermented till the desired alcohol level is achieved, leaving a residual amount of sugar in the wine. This residual sweetness is kept in balance by a high natural acidity. The rich yet delicate nose is layered with spice, lemon zest, poached pear and meringue. The palate is unctuous yet lively with fresh citrus, delicate poached fruits, white pepper and a lively long tail. Perfectly matched to your favourite dessert, all chocolate and a runny, ripe brie cheese! This wine will age and develop well for 30 - 40 years.
